Concrete Ground Slabs.
 For residential, commercial and industrial
applications concrete ground slabs are a quick, cost efficient solution
suiting a wide variety of sites. For residential applications slabs can be designed
as a raft slab, waffle pod, or infill slabs to AS2870.
It is important to design the slab to suit the
specific foundation material as conditions vary greatly across
different geographical locations from sandy soils to highly reactive clays.
In this regard we recommend the engagement of a qualified
geotechnical engineer to estrablish ground conditions prior to
commencing design. The slab can then be designed to AS2870 catering for
possible
ground movement
associated with reactive clays, reducing the probability of damage to
the structure.

Suspended Concrete Slabs.
 Suspended
concrete slabs are traditionally used for high
load, large span applications on commercial, industrial and large
scale residential projects. On small scale projects the use of
propriatory systems such as bondek slabs are commonly used.

efficientcy of the design and reduce

Retaining walls.
Retaining walls are usually employed to hold-back (retain) earth
on sloping sites. They can be constructed in many different forms
from a wide variety of materials. Common construction methods
include:
- Timber (coppers log) Retaining walls
- Interlocking block gravity retaining walls

Reinforced concrete block cantelever retaining walls.
(often called
'besser block' walls)
Most Councils require that any retaining wall over 1m
high (and in some cases less) be designed by a suitably qualified
